5 out of 5 stars

The only way I shop now It is no exaggeration to say that ThredUp has revolutionized the way I shop for clothes. I am concerned about waste in the fashion industry, as well as other social issues (particularly sizeism and social regulation of women’s bodies and wealth inequality) that make it difficult for me to enjoy fashion with unfettered enthusiasm. This company has made it possible for me to enjoy it again, by making designer clothing affordable, and providing access to thousands of brands catering to different body types. It allows me to pass along clothing that no longer serves me, without worrying that it will go to a landfill, and with the uplifting prospect that another person may use and enjoy it. I am not one to want to spend hours selling items online, and for me the convenience of simply putting things in a bag and dropping it in the mail is immensely liberating. If I earn a few dollars in credit to spend on ThredUp, that’s a bonus. I have worn eight different clothing sizes since shopping with ThredUp over the years, and I can say from experience that there’s truly something for everyone. The interface is so easy to use; filter by size, brand, category, amount of wear, and see everything in 360 degree rotation on a mannequin with measurements and great lighting. ThredUp has ruined me for all other online clothing shopping experiences, and I will never go back to shopping in thrift stores again.
